Kadaugan sa Mactan 2012

Last week was a blast, literally, with fireworks that ricocheted and blasted up the sky and disco lights that swayed the darkness of the night. So what happened last week?

Well last week, Lapu-lapu City celebrated the 491st Kadaugan sa Mactan, this event was celebrated to honor the victory of Lapu-lapu against the spanish colonizer. A week long celebration of feasting and dancing.

The event was made possible through the efforts of Mayor Paz C. Radaza. and Com. Hembler V. Mendoza.The Kadaugan sa Mactan aimed to empower the tourism in Lapu-lapu and to encourage people to promote the DOT slogan: “It's more fun in the Philippines”, and in this case, it's more fun in Lapu-lapu.

For the sake of those who lack knowledge, the week long celebration kicks off with the grandeur opening of Food Festival, participated by 25 small local enterprises and 18 big hotels(now that's what I'm talking about), scattered around the premises of Mactan shrine. There a lot of food to choose from.

Wait wait... I know what you think. You might think that those delectable foods are expensive. Wrong!! Those food cost around 5- 99 pesos only. Unfortunately, I didn't bring with me any cash but on the contrary, it was free for us(FREE FOOD!!,its good to be a blogger hahah). So, yeah, I pretty much indulge myself with those food (burp*).

After an amazing array of food, I found out that there will be a production number hosted by a resort (now that's awesoooommee!!). I forgot to mention that every night different resorts will be presenting a production number for FREE for the people to watch. So yeah!!, it was an epic night.

Believe it or not it is absolutely 2d no 3d software used pure hardcore paint and rendering. What amazes me about this art is its lighting. Lighting is the most important part of any art,it gives depth it gives an illusion to the viewer's eye. Have you ever dream of something? A material thing you wish you have but you just can't have it ?And for a long time you walk that path of achieving your dream thinking that you will achieve it and still it doesn't happen? Have your tried anything new?A new way of achieving it?

People have its own wants and his dream , for example a person wants to own a car, but no matter how hard he worked he still doesn't have it. He strives hard to work sacrifices things yet still doesn't get it because that person stick to what is common,  that person tends to ignore a great possibilities  there is always an new opportunity in our life if he open his mind to new things and a new way in life, great things happen.

Although there is no assurance for success because life is gamble,at some point of our life we need to place bets hope for something with optimism. The point is if you want something you find a way of getting that thing to your hand right? But if that way of getting that thing you always wanted doesn't bare fruits do you limit yourself to that way? If you limit yourself to that way how will you improve?How will you learn?
